On May 21, 2011, in their final official game for the Spring season, the BWG Cosmos U8B Team played against the Brooklyn Patriots – F.S.A. Aguila at Brennan Field. After an exciting action-packed game, the game ended with a 1-1 tie between the two teams. All players gave their all, with Michael Zdanuczyk scoring the only goal for the Cosmos
U-10
The BWG Cosmos U-10As played against the BWG Cosmos U-11Bs. The game was tied 2-2 at the half, with good play by both teams. However, the U-10As could not keep up for the full game with the U-11Bs, losing 5-2. At Sunday’s CJSL match against UNIS, the U-10As played well and were able to take a 5-3 victory.
U-11
On Saturday BWG Cosmos U11B played against BWG Cosmos U10A in the CJSL league. It was a great game. BWG Cosmos U11B won 5-2. All the boys did a great job and played well. It was a pleasure to watch both BWG Cosmos team play in style. Goal scorers were: Billy Moutopoulos (header) from a corner kick by Omar Jamaledinne, Paul Romo (1) , Paul Guiracocha (1) and Demos Demopoulos (2). Great job all around by both Cosmos teams.
On Saturday BWG Cosmos U11C played their final CJSL League game against South Bronx United. BWG Cosmos U11C won 1-0. Bwg Cosmos U11C played strong and dedicated their last league game to their coach Esteban Silva for his hard work and time. Goal scorer was Jerry Figueroa
U-12
This weekend the BWG Cosmos U12A boys played on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday they face Eleftheria Pancyprian, the game was not much of a contest for the boys with boys scoring early and often. The end result of 8-0.
On Sunday they faced Patriot Soccer Club Thunder. A well played game with many chances to score on both sides.
BWG Cosmos again moved the ball very well and maintained possession but failed to hit the back of the net. Final score of the contest was 0-0.
U-16
The Bwg cosmos u16a played 3 games during the weekend in 2 different leagues.
On Saturday, the team won 3:0 against Zafiro, goals scored by Joseph Gaviria (2) and Kevin Diaz, and tied against Lynbrook 1:1, goal scored by Eryk Tarnowski. On Sunday, in the most important game of the CJSL season, the team came up short, losing the game 2:1 to Greek Kosmos. The only goal scored by Sebastian Choinski. The team is traveling this Sunday to Ramapo Soccer Tournament
G-12
The BWG Cosmos GU12 team on Saturday played away in a LIJSL game vs Sound Beach Spirit with a disappointing 1-0 loss due to our team not playing at their true potential. The BWG Cosmos girls redeemed themselves later that day when they played the Sky Blue championship final game vs Upstate NY SC prior to the SKY BLUE (WPS) game at Rutgers Stadium in NJ. The BWG Cosmos won the Championship game 2-1 with goals from Maia Cabrera and Andrea Cardozo.
On Sunday, the BWG Cosmos GU12 team played back-to-back games in JSS NYCSL. In the first game vs HBC Wanderers the BWG Cosmos GU12 girls showed their skill with excellent ball movement and control of the game, resulting in a 4-1 win. The offensive player of the game was Medina Mulic, who put in two outstanding goals from 25 yards out. The defensive player of the game and of the weekend was Julianna Ligniowski, who was relentless in disarming and frustrating the opposition. In the second game the BWG Cosmos GU12 played against Patchogue Medford. BWG Cosmos team rose to the challenge and with a single goal that over powered their goalie from Maia Cabrera, the team walked away with a 1-0 win and an unbeaten streak
Cosmos Academy
U-12
Cosmos academy had a relatively easy time against Oakwood at Aviator. They were superior in every department and ran out 10-1 winners.
