Both teams won games against Rockaway Eagles, Edgemont Blues, FC Real, and tied against Deportivo Yonkers. However, because of better goal differentials, Cosmos Blue won the U16 tournament, and Cosmos White earned second place. If you want to try out for the team come to Juniper, June 7th at 7:00pm

The BWG Cosmos played in the finals against Nazareth SC Greyhounds in a tough fought game. Cosmos Academy
On Saturday, the Cosmos Academy East U18s hosted Albertson Academy in a divisional game at Icahn field, Randalls Island. The Cosmos from the start dominated possession and had good opportunities deep in the box in the first half but could not convert the go ahead goal. They continued they’re dominance in the second half and defender Devin Morgan on an overlapping run drilled a left foot shot just outside the box that struck the near post. That was as close as the Cosmos can to netting a potential goal and the boys had to settle for the tie. Final 0-0.
The Cosmos U16s were stunned early in the match by conceding a goal in the 2nd minute of play when they turned over the ball in the midfield that led to the 1st goal and then in 10th minute let up a penalty kick goal. But the Cosmos were infuriated with the 2-0 deficite and in the 26th minute, Yankuba Yanneh received a pass in the box and in one motioned turned and drilled a low shot into the left corner. Five minutes later, defender Julian Gilbey making a penetrating right side run delivered a low cross to the near post that Yankuba challenged and was able to tuck into the near post when the opposing defender and goalie colliaded for the 2-2 tie. In the second Albertson had several corner kicks and deep throw-ins but the Cosmos goalie Julian Petrello and the defense denied a third goal. It was a great comeback for the Cosmos. Final 2-2.
