Kevin Garcia, a stalwart on the Villanova defense and key to the Wildcats’ march to the 2011 BIG EAST Semifinals last November, was selected by the New England Revolution in the third round of the MLS Supplemental Draft. Garcia, a native of Flushing, N.Y., started 20 games for Villanova in 2011, primarily as an outside defender while serving as a team co-captain.

Kevin played on the BW Gottschee Academy team from 2005-2008. According to his Coach David McCarthy who remains in contact with Garcia “Kevin was a hard working player, made those around him better and deserves everything he gets”
